Auction items needed!
Going once, Going twice, Sold!
The tradition of the annual IGCA Auction continues at our 2008 IGCA convention in Ohio.
Your help is needed to make this a successful fundraiser for IGCA.
Here's how you can help: Please bring items to the convention as donations to the auction. Don't worry, you don't have to donate an art treasure. There are a number of fun things that you can donate to make the auction a success. In the past, some of the best items have been regional specialties: Wine, preserves, snacks, foods, art, etc. So find something that is special in your neck-of-the-woods and bring it to the auction.
Often a gift basket containing a number of these items makes a great auction item. Someone can enjoy the special things that you have where you live.
Other popular ideas for auction items:
- Hand-made bath and body products.
- Hand-made items that you've created like knitted items and quilted wall hangings.
- You can also donate candlemaking supplies.
Actually, feel free to donate to the auction anything that someone else would enjoy having.
Although supplies and candles are mentioned, this isn't the place to sell your excess or unneeded supplies and equipment. The Flea Market is where you'll want to sell these items. Contact the Flea Market chairperson Kathy Szappanos for information about the Flea Market.
...and the fun part of the IGCA Auction is attending and finding unique items brought from all over the country by your fellow IGCA members.Enjoy bidding on items and knowing that the money you spend on auction items goes to help with convention expenses. A very good cause, indeed.
